CNC Plastic Materials
Plastic materials work with CNC machining because they can be solid and machinable. Below are the material options we offer for CNC plastic materials.

Available materials
Nylon 6
Nylon 6 is high in strength, durability, and toughness. It has a particular high hardness and shock resistance in dry and low temperatures. It has a decent UV light resistance level and is water resistant.
Plastic ABS
This material has excellent hardness and strength properties, and at a low cost. ABS is easily machined and is a good substitution for injection molding projects. With applications in consumer products and the automotive industry, it is a popular material.
Plastic PTFE
As one of the highest temperature resistant materials, PTFE isn’t as precise as some other materials. It is also biocompatible, which makes it a great material for food-safe products and medical devices.
Plastic UHMW
UHMW has an extremely high abrasion-resistance, with excellent toughness, and is suitable in a number of applications. It does not do well when continually under stress. UHMW is often applied in automotive and marine industries.
Polypropylene
Polypropylene is great for mechanical parts and moving pieces. It also has electrical properties and absorbs little moisture. One challenge that may be encountered is its tendency to melt during machining.
Delrin
Delrin is a good alternative material between metal and plastic. It has excellent hardness properties and can maintain its properties across a huge range of high and low temperatures. Delrin is often found in door parts.
